Lift Truck Instructor Training
The Lift Truck Instructor training course provides candidates with the skills to prepare and examine operators for working with lift trucks in accordance with best practice. Courses are available at the RTITB Instructor Academy in Telford (UK) or on your site.
By the end of the Lift Truck Instructor course candidates will:
- Be able to recall and discuss relevant legislation
- Be able to recall and discuss the lift truck operator training and safe use Code of Practice relating to lift truck operation
- Be able to plan, prepare and deliver lift truck training to the RTITB standard
Candidates must successfully complete an independent examination to register on the RTITB Register of Professional Instructors.
The Lift Truck Instructor course is suitable for candidates who:
- Meet the eligibility requirements for the chosen course – view the eligibility requirements
- Have significant experience as a Counterbalance Operator. We recommend a minimum of 6 months experience
- Have good communication skills
- Have the confidence to present to large and small groups of their peers

Lift Truck Instructor Initial
A course for experienced lift truck operators who wish to deliver lift truck operator training who have not been formally trained as an Instructor before. The Lift Truck Instructor course provides candidates with interactive guided theory, discussion and practice. It prepares candidates to cater for the needs of their learners both in and out of the training room.

Lift Truck Instructor 3 day- Re-reg (Accelerated)
A course for currently qualified/recently expired (within the last 12 months) RTITB Lift Truck Instructors who need to refresh their qualification and renew their registration.
The accelerated 3-day course option offers the opportunity for highly experienced instructors who deliver training on a regular basis to re-register following a shortened course of training.
This course is only suitable for very experienced, highly competent Instructors.

A course for currently qualified/recently expired (within the last 24 months) RTITB Lift Truck Instructors who need to refresh their qualification and renew their registration.
5 days - £900
The Lift Truck Instructor course can be delivered on your premises, subject to meeting the Facilities Criteria. We run these courses on request on dates to suit your business. Our prices are based on a day rate and not per candidate. The price is £790+VAT per day of training plus travel, accommodation and subsistence.
